Financial Determinants of Informal Financial Development in Sub-Saharan Africa

This study assesses financial determinants of informal sector development in 48 Sub-Saharan African countries for the period 1995-2017. Quantile regressions are used as empirical strategy which enables to assess throughout conditional distribution dynamics. The following affect and informalization differently terms magnitude sign: bank overhead costs; net internet margin; concentration; return on equity; cost income ratio; stability; loans from non-resident banks; offshore deposits remittances. presented a plethora perspectives, inter alia: U-Shape, S-Shape positive or negative thresholds. not only provides practical way by incidence development, but also instruments can be curbed.
